LAMP HOLDER (ECONOMY SWITCH)

Open bulb miniature socket.

Consists of a 53mm diameter plastic base with two plated brass Fahnstock clips for connecting wires to a miniature lamp bulb holder.

Lenz's Law

Consists of two metal rings connected by an aluminum beam that can rotate freely on a support. One of rings is a closed loop, the other has an opening for comparison. When a bar magnet moves into or out of the loop the magnetic flux will change. According to Lenz's Law, a current will be induced in the loop to oppose the change. Students can verify the law by analyzing the movement of the loop. Comes with a comprehensive activity manual.

LIQUID-FILLED MAGNETIC COMPASS

For reading of topographical and tourist maps and determination of azimuthal location of a given place. Suitable for overhead projector.

Transparent design. Diameter 50mm with black and red magnetised needle. Mounted on a transparent plastic base with 0-6cm x 1mm scale on bevelled end of the base plate. Full circle spanided into 360? with N,S,E and W directions indicated. Graduated every 5? and labelled in 60? increments. The needle housing is liquid filled to damp oscillations in just 5 seconds. The red tip indicates north. Meridian lines help in accurate plotting of angles. Adjustable wrist strap. Made in Russia.
