ound Level Meter, Analog

ound Level Meter, Analog

Meets decibel frequency weighting A (dbA) ANSI specifications.
Measure the typical noises of the classroom, from normal speech to nearly unbearable hallway traffic, with this versatile meter. Our dial switch detects sound on two separate ranges (35 - 80 dB and 75 - 120 dB). Signal oscillator calibration is manually adjustable. Includes: carry case and instructions. 16 x 6.5 x 4 cm in size.
Pair Of Tuning Forks

Pair Of Tuning Forks

A pair of tuning forks mounted on inspanidual resonance boxes, with one fork fitted with sliding mass to demonstrate beats. Changing the position of the boxes and the slider mass allow different frequencies and beats to be heard. Complete with hammer.
Pinhole Viewer

Pinhole Viewer

With this device, students learn how the intensity of light and differently shaped lenses affect what the eye actually sees. Grades 3-9.
Powell?s Wave Machine

Powell?s Wave Machine

For demonstrating the movement of progressive transverse waves. Comprising 22 small bails on wire rods, with eccentric motion attachment, driving handle and fitted on polished wooden base.
Quincke'S Interference Tube

Quincke'S Interference Tube

Now you hear it, now you don't. Show how two sounds cancel each other out when added together. Two Y-shaped glass tubes are connected with rubber tubing in such a way that one path is about one-half wavelength longer than the other. When a tuning fork is held near one end and the path difference is about 65 cm, you'll hear no sound at the other end. When either tube is pinched shut, however, the tuning fork comes through loud and clear. With instructions. You need 256 or 512 Hz tuning fork, not included.
Resonance Apparatus with Stand

Resonance Apparatus with Stand

Investigate the length, frequency and velocity of sound waves by studying the resonance of air columns. We attach a movable container to a 80 cm long transparent tube that is mounted on a stand. Fill the container with water and strike a tuning fork above the top of the tube. The reverberated tuning fork becomes louder or softer depending on the location of the water. Tuning fork not included.
This item ships oversize, shipping will be calculated at checkout.
Ripple Tank with Projection Screen

Ripple Tank with Projection Screen

Project waves onto a 10 x 9" screen for viewing from a distance. Tune the wave generation of this self-contained easy-to-use apparatus to match the stroboscopic light. We include light source, adjustable 2 and 3 prong wave generators, 2 baffles and removable 12 x 10" basin. 26" total height.
Rubber Hammer

Rubber Hammer

Use this hammer to minimize damage to the tuning forks.
Sonometer
