High Voltage Potential Divider
This can be either resistive or capacitor type potential spanider. Lower arm to higher arm ratio is generally 1:100 or 1: 1000 depending on the voltage to be measured. We manufacture potential spanider for both AC & DC voltage.
Max. Range of DC voltage is 300KV and AC 200KV.
Peak Voltmeter
This is basically a High Voltage voltmeter comprising of a High Voltage Potential Divider with a readout which will indicate the peak value of the voltage to be measured. This is particularly useful when the voltage to be measured is neither a DC nor a regular sinusoidal voltage.
Max. Range of peak voltmeter manufactured by us is 300KV.

This set is suitable to calibrate High voltage measurements. It consists of -

High Voltage PT
One end of PT winding is grounded.
Max. Measurement Voltage: Depending on PT, spread over different range upto 100KV i.e. 10KV, 40KV & 100KV. Secondary Voltage: Depends on Primary High Voltage but restricted to 1000V.
Measurement unit: Digital voltmeter.
Accuracy of measurement: + 1%.
Interconnecting cable between the PT secondary and voltmeter is of at least 3 meters length.
Sphere gap assemblies are designed and fabricated as per IS 1876 / 1961, which lays all constructional details and limitations for the unit. This method is however a recognised one for measuring high voltage in DC or AC or Impulse type voltage.
construction
Two spheres of equal shape and size are made from brass or copper sheets, polished to have mirror finish.
The distance adjustment is manual or motorised depending upon the size and choice of customer.
For manual adjustments, the vernier-scaled dial is provided to have better accuracy and resolution for setting required gaps.
For motorised unit, the gaps are set by motor and the indication is determined on large circular indicator.
For obtaining constant repeatable results an irradiation source can also be supplied if required by the customer.
