For measurement of small outside diameter, thickness etc. Ideal for engineering and technical schools to teach the working of this instrument.
Consists of a frame of solid brass body with a chrome satin finish and a hardened steel screw. Provided with a ratchet and a locknut for accurate readings. Zero adjustment is possible. Pitch of the screw is 0.5mm and the least count is 0.01mm. Micrometers with English scale has pitch of 0.05in and the least count of 0.001in. Packed in a plastic case.
Plastic tubular newton spring balances. Each range is colour coded for convenience, and is scaled in both grams and newtons. The spring mechanism is clearly visible and zero adjustment is incorporated.
Length 250mm overall, including ring and hook.

The popular thistle tube form for illustrating the principles of osmosis. Consists of a double thistle tube with a porous membrane attached to the lower end. The tube is held upright with the membrane covered end in the jar. When sugar solution is added to the top of the tube, the liquid level gradually rises. Included are a round battery jar, a 16" long glass thistle tube, membrane, tube support. |
For demonstrating that the pressure of a liquid at the bottom of a vessel is proportional to the depth of the liquid and is independent of the volume and shape of the vessel.
Consists of three borosilicate glass vessels of different shapes, open at both ends, having ground edges and bottom openings of equal size. Provided with plastic disks and attached hooks and strings so that when vessels are immersed, bottom down, water pressure holds the disk in place. Used to show that the depth of the vessel when water is poured inside it, is independent of the shape of the vessel.
Brass sphere with hook.

For determining weights by spring elongation which is proportional to the applied force. For laboratory use. Made of strong polystyrene with a flat anodised metal scale. Provided with a zero adjuster, suspension ring and a load hook.
Metric.
Consists of free running, well balanced plastic pulleys. Each pulley measures 5 cm dia. and is mounted in an alloy frame with hook at each end.
-01 | Single Pulley |
-02 | Double Pulley |
-03 | Triple Pulley |
-04 | Quadruple Pulley |
Made of aluminium, 25mm dia. with a wide groove for whipcord etc., mounted in a sloping aluminum frame so that the pulley may overhang the edge of the board etc. This arrangement makes the pulley ideal for use on Sonometers. |
Comprising a 50mm dia ball bearing plastic pulley carried on an aluminium brass, 20 x 20 x 110mm long provided with a hole and clamping screw to accommodate rods up to 13mm dia. Tapped holes are provided so that the pulley may be fitted onto the boss with its axis of rotation in any one of three planes.
In addition to its rod mounting facilities, countersunk holes are provided so that a board clamp may be attached, if desired, to convert it to board/table mounting type.
