FLEXIBLE LIGAMENTARY MUSCULAR SKELETON, PLASTIC
Illustrate movement of the limbs and spine, muscle placement, and muscle action with one skeleton. Our 'All in One' skeleton can be used to teach all aspects of skeletal anatomy, with its removable skull and sectioned calvarium, I detachable left arm and leg, painted right side showing muscle origins in red and insertions in blue, and numbered left side with identified bone structures. The right side of the skeleton also has elastic "ligaments" at the shoulder, hip, elbow, and knee for realistic arm and leg movement. The spinal column is also flexible to show how the spine and neck joints move. The spinal cord, with nerves and arteries, is shown, as is a herniated disc between the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae. Constructed with durable metal hardware, the rodmounted skeleton is secured on a wheeled stand, is suspended from the fitting secured at the top of the skull. Full size and washable. FUNCTIONAL HUMAN EYE
A unique apparatus allows you to the conditions of visual the human eye. The clear silicone elastic lens chamber of the model is filled with water. When later is added or subtracted with the included syringe. the curvature of the lens is changed. which alters the focus of images projected on the retina. The shape of the eyeball is adjustable as well. Once the deficiencies have been observed. the included corrective lenses can be added to show how vision defects can be modified. The five-piece model is mounted on a base with the projection object on a separate stand. The set comes with two lenses. lens holder, projection object, model, and instruction manual with numbered Key Card.
FUNCTIONAL HUMAN EYE
This Functional Human Eye Model of the Human Eye demonstrates the way the lens thickens or flattens to focus an image on the retina. The actual lens is a chamber constructed of optically clear silicone elastomer connected by tubing to a water-filled syringe. Water forced into the lens increases its thickness and curvature; withdrawal flattens the profile of the lens, changing its focus. The" Shape" of the eye can also be altered to simulate myopia [nearsightedness] and hypermetropia [farsightedness]. Used in conjunction with a bright light source [such as an ordinary slide projector], images can be focused on the model's retina. You can dramatically demonstrate visual accommodation; near-point of vision; visual blind spot; presbyopia [age-related loss of accommodation from lack of lens elasticity]; and the use of corrective lenses to treat myopia and hypemetropia (lenses and lens holder included). Complete with illustrated instructions and projection object on stand with numbered Key Card.
FUNCTIONAL LUNG MODEL
The unique and easy to use model features parts that accurately replicate the human structures' function during respiration. Pulling the rubber diaphragm covering the bottom of bell jar reduces pressure inside for, the balloon "lungs" fill with air. Push the diaphragm in, and the balloon collapse recreating exhalation. The' set includes an acrylic bell jar, Y tube, two balloons and rubber diaphragm with a knob for easy movement.
FUNGI
Vegetative and reproductive structures of Mucor clearly displayed. The Large Model separates into three parts, showing the mycelium, with fruiting bodies displaying both sexual and asexual reproduction. All Parts are enlarged about 250x. The three-piece model is mounted on a base that also features explanatory notes and comes with a study guide identifying twelve structures.
GALLSTONE
This graphic model for patient education shows the anatomy of the biliary system and its surroundings in half natural size. Both acute inflammation (cholecystitis) and the tissue changes caused by chronic inflammation can be identified in the gall bladder wall. Gallstones can be found in the following typical locations :- In the fundus area of the gall bladder, In the area of the spiral valve, In the papillary opening to the small intestine. Giant Ear Model
A giant model of the ear, for elementary science classes, shows the three main structural parts of the hearing organ (external ear, middle ear, internal ear) and the position of the equilibrium organ of human body.
1. External ear: Showing the shape of the auricle and the primary features of the external auditory meatus.
2. Middle ear: showing the tympanic membrane, the three auditory ossicles (hammer, anvil, stirrup) and the eustachian tube.
3. Internal ear: showing the vestibule, cochlea and the three semicircular canals of the osseous labyrinth.
This model is dissected into 4 parts. 5 times enlarged. Mouted on plastic base.
